Notification Sounds

I have just upgraded from a Desire to a Sensation which although is a big step up in spec doesn't feel like such a leap in day to day use.

One thing that has been annoying me is that i cannot seem to configure the phone to make a notification sound for SMS's but not emails. There does not seem to be a 'None' option on any of the sound options. Anyone know how to do this?

Click the 'Personalize' button and then press 'Notification sounds' - you can change the Email one in there (for the stock email app)

OR go into the app in question and turn off the sounds

Thanks EddyOS, but i did find these options, but there is no 'None' option listed, so ultimately i have to have some sort of sound. Any other ideas?

Turn off the notification sound itself in the app, e.g. open the app, go to settings and untick the box for play sound

have you tried Settings --> Sound --> Volume
