Help Notification sounds?

Hi is it possible to have differant tones for say a txt and something different for email or are you stuck with the same one for all incoming messages?

any app that supports notifications has its own notification settings.. for example, go to the email app, menu/settings/notifications and u can choose the tone for the email app. same for the messaging app

if u just go to the settings menu from ur homescreen, that takes u to the main android settings page, going to sounds/notfications here just sets the default notification.
