Help notification sounds

I just purchased a galaxy s3, and am having trouble turning off the notification sounds for facebook messages. I have gone into phone settings, and into fb settings, and have disabled notifications in both places and yet phone is still making a sound whenever I get a FB message. Any help?

My default notification sound is "opener" but with email notifications, I receive a "doorbell" tone. Can that notification tone be changed?

with the facebook notification go into your facebook account & turn off the notification in there as for the emails google it that's what i do to find things lol , also if you get an sms app you can change message / sms tones

Yes, it can be changed in the Settings area. I can see in my S3 both sounds which you mention. Just don't forget to tap on OK after making changes.

if you got lightflow installed then that could be the problem..i found lightflow pretty much farked everything up on my phone..it even started talk back out of nowhere!!
