Help Notification spam

I've started getting quite a bit of spam in my notifications. How can I trace what is causing this so I can delete the relevant app?

Well, how recently did it start and what have you installed in that time? I'd start with the most recent apps and go back in time, checking settings in each for push notifications. If there's no way to turn them off, then that's one app that needs to go

You could try installing Addons Detector, doing a scan, then checking the app permissions to see whether any of your apps use Push Notifications. Those would be your list of suspects.

If you long-press a notification you should get an "app info" popup. Does that tell you anything if you click it?

Thanks. I'll try that next time I get one. I've also junked about a dozen suspicious apps so I'll see if that works also.

Could you name the specific font App?

It would be good to make a sticky where we could post Apps that have nuisance Spam.
