Help Notification/Status bar won't pull down after KitKat Update

Phloyd456

Lurker
I'm having an issue with my Note 3. Seems after the KitKat update I can't pull down the Status/Notification bar at the top of my screen anymore. It works with the S-Pen but not with my finger. The troubleshooting techniques I've tried was pulling the battery out for 2 minutes, restarting the phone and doing a factory reset. None of these actions have helped. I tried calling sprint, but they've never heard of this problem before. So I thought I'd ask if anyone was having this problem at all.

This is just a guess because I don't yet have KitKat, but have you tried checking the Air View options? You say it works with the S-Pen but not your finger, and Air View has different options for both

If you haven't modified or rooted your Android device you can use your warranty to request a refresh of the software or replacement.

Are you using the power button to end calls?
Seems a silly question but I had this issue with my 1st Note 2 so unchecked the box that allows you to end the call with the power button and it worked, I found this tip on the net while looking for an answer.

I just played around with your suggestion, but unfortunately it didn't do anything.
