Help Notification Symbol?

[DoodleD]

My Gnex has a notification symbol on the top left corner that has an airplane and speaker in it? What is this?

The airplane is an indicator that you've invoked (of all things ) "airplane mode." Airplane mode - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The speaker might be your device's speakerphone mode (you won't have to put the device to your ear to hear call, as it'll be real loud out of the speakers ).

Long press the power button and those choices will be in a pop-up menu.

Thanks, but no airplane mode and speaker/earphone all working properly. Been toggling on and off and testing all different ways and everything works as it should. Just can't seem to make it go away.

Just about anything in the upper left is caused by an actual application and will have a corresponding notification.

If you swipe down the notification bar, there should be an entry in the notification shade that will tell you exactly what that symbol is and why it's there.

Nothing that I can see unless I'm missing something?

It's from whatever app you're using to display the toggles in your notification menu. Open that app's settings and there should be an option to disable the notification icon.

That toggle is there by default on ICS? Where can I find the settings?

There are no notification toggles on ICS. You must be using an application (like Widgetsoid) to display toggles in the notification bar. That notification symbol is the app's way of making Android keep it open all the time rather than killing it off as a background process.

Thank you! You were right! I did have an app called MoreQuicklyPanel that needed to be refreshed. I must have installed that right after I got the phone and apparently forgot about it. Thanks again!
