Help Notification tone volume

Even with this set at maximum I find the volume of notification tones to be quite low - is there a way of increasing this without rooting the phone?
 
You could change the notification tone to say an MP3 ;)

You can change certain volumes from within *#*#197328640#*#* though I havent done this myself as I havent had the need. Maybe it will help you though.
