Help Notifications on phone

I have been noticing these notifications showing up in the notification area that are ads. The icon is a green + I can't figure out how to make them stop. Any thoughts? I do not wish to root phone. Thanks in advance.

Install an app called Airpush Detector from the Market. It will identify which app you installed that is causing these ads. Uninstall the offending app and your problem will be solved.
