notifications/settings question

[smfoley1]

I was wondering, is there a way to have the screen come on and/or have the phone unlock when you get a text message or email notification?

No, I don't think so. I know it brings the screen up for a missed a call. Not for notifications, as far as I know.

Handcent, actually, has that pop up quick-text thing for when you get texts and want to reply. I think that may bring the phone out of sleep.

But for email and all, I don't think so.
