Help Notifications

I have looked around and can't seem to find an answer to my noob question. I would like to be notified more that one ring when I receive a text message, email, or calendar reminder. Is there a way to set this up?

If you install go SMS there's a reminder that'll go off in intervals. If you're rooted there's an app called light flow, but it's a little advanced.

Ya, not very techy when it comes to a droid platform. I was just not sure if there was a setting I was missing. I guess I could also find a super long ringtone, but would much rather of had something that just went off on intervals.

Thanks, I will check it out. Once my phone is done deleting AOL email. Wow it it takes forever to delete mail from that account.

:( it looks like a pretty good app. But, it only supports SMS/MMS. I needed something for email, calendar as well as SMS/MMS. I will keep on looking. Thanks for the suggestions.

Looks like have found the program. It is called Light Flow. So far the free version seems to be doing what I needed done. If it continues to work i will will by the paid app. Thanks for the suggestions.

I use 'ringdroid" a market app to customize tunes I have downloaded. It gives me some control as to length.

I use a method like Cbreze, I use Myxer to make my custom stuff, also free. I used ring droid once or twice but it messed up my music registry once so I had to clear all data from the music player, un mount and remount to fix it. No issues since switching to Myxer.

I use noLED. It doesn't ring, but it does put a tiny light on your screen when you have a message, or a calendar prompt, or any other alert you want to set. You can color code each one as you wish. The only problem is that it does leave the screen on, but dark so it does eat some battery. I had to turn off e-mail alerts and my phone is much happier now.

Light flow works well for customizing colors and length of flash time. It has sleep modes for nite and alot more options also. Some have said it asks for to much permission, but I have found no issue and have been using it for months. It has always worked very reliably.

I use 'Missed Message Flasher', alerts you for Calendar, Email, Gmail, go SMS Pro, Google talk, K9 Mail, Missed calls, Skype, SMS & MMS, and more...duration of tone alerts configurable along with delays plus vibration.

Dartmar, I just downloaded NoLED and it works well. The version that I have allows you to set how often the audio alert notification goes off. I actually like this better than Light Flow.

Question tho, how is the battery life issue going. If I understand you correctly my phone is still on even though it shows that it is in sleep mode?

Just curious about battery usage.
