Help Nova launcher/Apex launcher app drawer issue

Is there anyway to sort apps in the app drawer un the order thatI want them in?
The only options seem to be alphabetical, most used and date installed.

It'll take some time but it's possible. Open your app draw and long press on the icon. Then while still holding slide it to wherever you want. To put it on a different page slide to the far left or right and your app page should scroll to the next.

This will only enable me to place apps on the home screen, not arrange them within the app drawer itself

Sorry my bad. I'm a go launcher guy and thought that'd be standard amongst the custom launchers. That'll teach me for making assumptions

What order do you want? Just favorites first, etc. I know you can't do that with Apex.

You can always create a new group. In Apex, it shows up as a tab at the top of the drawer (where Apps, Downloaded, Widgets are). Open the drawer / menu key / manage drawer / + sign upper right corner / then name the group and select which apps to put in the new group. Long press and move the new group to the top of the list in the Manage Drawer screen and it will be the default group that opens when you hit the app drawer icon.

In nova prime you can create tabs and folders in your app drawer, with the option of leaving the apps in the main app tab as well.

Yes I have prime but there is still no way to arrange the app drawer the way I want to even with the tabs. You can only sort by favorite, alphabetical order or date installed.

Just out of curiosity, what order would you like them in?

Why not dedicate a home page to folders with the apps in the order you would like? That is what I have done. App names are hidden on home screen, but not in folders. I have app shortcuts auto added to the home screen and then drop them in a folder. To make it easy,I put a easily recognized app at the front.

I'm just used ti ios where I can drop any icon anywhere. I've resigned to just having separatetabs and aalphabetical order for each tab.

iOS doesn't have an app drawer. Completely different, which is why you can have 7 home screens for your most used apps.

Is there a reason you are opposed to using some of the home screen to organize your apps?

The system I'm using makes it so easy, because you don't have to take the extra step of opening the app drawer to move it after install. It's also good to just leave it out of a folder to use it a few times to see if you really want it anyway.

If youre outside US, u can just use google search/Now to find the app u want by typin the1 1st few letters.thats what i tend to do when i need an app thats not in a homescreen folder.
In US use Google Gesture Search. Then it doesnt matter what order your drawers in :)

1. Drag to folder group to the desktop
2. Open it on the desktop and rearrange how you like
3. Open app drawer to make sure arrangement synced
4. Delete from desktop

I was unhappy with the organization Apex offered for App Drawer folders. I was used to organizing them myself in folders on my home screen. But now I actually like sorting it by most used. If my preferences change, I don't really have to be too concerned. The folder will eventually catch up with me.
