As many of you know, I've been having TONS of issues with NOVA Launcher out of the blue. No matter what I tried, I could not get the program to 'stick' as the default.
Happy to report the developer (amazingly fast support) emailed me with the solution:
"Go to Nova Settings > Long-press volume down for Labs > Bad Home Intent and see if it prompts you to uninstall an app? There are a handful of apps that can trigger an Android bug causing it to forget the default launchers. Unfortunately this is not controlled by the launcher but the system itself."
NOVA will include an automatic check for these in a near-term release but I am grateful to have this solution as my phone contained an app causing the conflict. I was minutes away from a hard reset to see if that fixed the problem so props to the developer for saving me from that!
Time to upgrade to PRIME. His support is worth my few dollars. Very impressed.
