Help Nova Launcher

Launcher Pro does this. Have as many ( up to 7 ) or as few home screens as you want.

Not an issue with Launcher Pro.

Launcher Pro allows the home screens to rotate into landscape mode if you like.


Honestly, I'm not pro-LP but I just wanted to put it out there that for all the positives that comes with any app, there's also negatives that can be resolved using a different app, LP in this case.

I'm going to be trying Nova here pretty soon, but honestly, LP+ is everything I want and more. The only real reason that I'm hoping for good results out of Nova is for the Widgets in the app drawer. I like the preview.

Yeah you can, just click on the option in screen orientation and enable to auto-rotate. You also gotta have this enable on the phone as well. I disable mine because it looks weird in landscape mode.

Cool I didn't see that setting...
 
If Nova Launcher had the ability to hide the notification bar and either hide/delete/customize the color of that annoying line above the dock, it'd be perfect.

Too bad Launcher Pro or Go Launcher Ex can't use ICS's app drawer.

I found out how to get it, and it works now. Heres how you get nova launcher to rotate:

Go into the app drawer
At the top left, there is a menu button (the tree dots), press it
Press Nova Settings
Screen Orientation
Auto-rotate

It works again! Although I hope an update comes quick for the slow rotation :/

I don't mind the notification bar but I would like to see that line go away.
 
Nova Beta 5 kicks major ass. Anyone figure out how to reduce the number of screens after hitting the + to make it go out to 7? I tested it out, but wanted to return to 5 and can't see how to reduce them. Thanks in advance.

Looks like you got your way with the Notification bar... did he make it so you can customize the line, though? I didn't see...

Go to Nova settings-desktop-home screens and long press on the screens you don't want and drag them to the x on the top of the screen.
 
Can someone help me? When I try to download Nova launcher and install it i'm given an error ,"There is a problem parsing the package":(
 
Has anyone else noticed a lag when going from home screen to home screen? Or from App drawer to home screen? It might lag at other times too but..

It seems as if the 12 update introduced a bug that makes it laggy. I didn't have this problem previously. Anyone else seeing this?
 
i installed NL beta12 as system app on rooted GNexus. when trying to update to latest via Nova settings screen, i see a brief message Downloading Update, but nothing else is happening. shutting device down and restarting doesn't help
 
Had a question regarding how people were dealing with font corruption. While it is a known issue, the quick fix stated is to restart Nova or phone. However, I still get the same font corruption even after restarting both. Is it due to having widgets present? (currently running widgets: Simple Calendar, BW, and APW)

[edit]Running latest version - Beta 13.
[edit2] Ok, looks like I had to remove all widgets, restart Nova, then add the widgets back. Seems like that fixed it for now.

i see no option for uninstall. i originally installed just NovaLauncher.apk into system\app.

ok, i found instructions on how to install/uninstall NL.

but, when i go into the recovery mode i get the Android icon with a red exclamation mark for a long time, until eventually the phone reboots normally.

not sure what it means

Although you can't drag app icons through the 'break' I.e. if you have a shortcut or widget on screen 1 you can't just drag it to 7 - you have to go the long way round :-( still, fantastic app and well worth installing and paying for in good time.

Try out ICS Browser + too, which is a similar thing - adding extra capabilities and options to the stock browser.
 
Anyone know if there is a way to set the default home screen-- for example I scroll all the way to my left most home screen and launch an app from there. Hit home again and it returns me to that left most home screen. I would prefer if it sent me back to my main home screen (#3). Am I missing the setting someplace??
