i hope someone can help me with a problem im having with nova launcher. when i have an app open and if i leave it until the screen goes off, when i press the screen back on, the screen will show the app then go back to the phone homescreen. does anyone know if theres a way to keep the app open so when i switch the screen back on the app wont disappear. thanks

Ive just had a look through settings and cant find anything man.. my phone used to the same as youre describing but now when i wake the phone, it goes straight to the app i was using but i dont know if thats a Nova option or a phone option. Good luck man

I have Nova and just checked and don't have that problem. I am guessing that Android might be killing the app to keep some RAM available. (then again, funky might be rooted, and I know I am, so we probably have more RAM to start with.)

Yeah im on a completely non-TW rom mate but i think(?) I was getting same behaviour on a TW based custom rom. I just cant remember if/what setting i changed.
as i am now, either Power or Home wake the phone to wherever i was in an app..

There seems to be a window of at least a few seconds where if the screen turns off itself, when you hit the home button it will turn the screen on and go to the home screen, and if you hit the power button it'll go straight back to the app without hitting the lock screen.

There is also a difference if you require a pattern / pin to unlock.

If you press the home button but it doesn't require any security to unlock, it is as if you press the home button inside an app - getting you straight to the home screen.

If you do have security, it will remain in the app once you unlocked your screen properly. I don't think this is a Nova "feature" but an Android one ..

Right. I remember it happening when I didn't have nova installed.
