Code does work and I do like the option to pick up the device at the local store. Not sure if the store would accept the coupon code or not.

First time that I have had to pay that bs $30 upgrade fee but with the code it helps keep the final cost down.

Damn fine work on posting the code info. I was going to forego the online thing and visit a store tomorrow. Instead, I used the code and chose expedited shipping for Friday before 10am and still got it for less than in store price.

Used son's upgrade to retain unlimited data...it's just one win after another. :D

Just ordered mine, will be picking it up at a local verizon store at 9 a.m. Time to put the razr to rest and get something new.
Can't wait to get my hands on this bad boy.
*edit* Already got the sms message that it's ready for pickup when the store opens.

I am waiting on it to show up in stock on Amazon. I have some gift cards I am burning and paying full retail. Showing back ordered right now on Amazon. Anybody else planning on going through Amazon?

I wonder how many Galaxy Nexus people are going to upgrade today :) I hope to have that beauty in my hands in an hour.

Thanks for this coupon Stew. I am retiring my galaxy nexus for this.
The charging port is broken and the screen is broke.

I plan to be upgrading from my Gnex. I did not have the option to order online and pickup at the store. If I can get it in town within the hour then I'm good, if not, then I will go online and use the verizon30 promo code and pay for next day.

Just picked mine up and I asked the salesman if anyone else had bought one today. He said I was the only one. I only got one because I ordered it online and he isn't allowed to sell them today. I asked him if he sold a lot of Notes and he said that is what they are pushing.

OP, thanks for the code. Turns out I didn't need it. When my cart came up it automatically gave me the $60 discount as a promotion.

Can someone confirm for me if this uses a micro-SIM? Or does it use a nano-SIM? Gonna be annoyed if I can't just pop in my own SIM from my Gnex since I'm thinking of using the add a line trick to save a few bucks and finance part of it over 2 years rather than paying full retail.

Strange one for me here. I called the store closest to my work yesterday and today. I was told over the phone that they are selling the phone and I could pick one up today. But when I get there I was told they can't sell them because they can't activate them for a few days. The LG rep just so happened to be there. He showed me his activated AT&T version and I played around with it and he answered my questions. He said he thought they would be able to activate them by Sunday.

Then I see this thread so I went on and ordered one with in-store pick up. Coupon code worked for me too. I chose a store near my house instead of the idiots at the store I went to today.

Side note, I am also upgrading from the Galaxy Nexus. How much do you guys think we can get for them on Craigslist, $100?

How do you retain the unlimited data plan? I have two phones on my account and when I try to upgrade either one it requires me to switch to a new plan and lose my unlimited data package.

Used my sons flip phone which was upgrade eligible to get this phone. You have to add a data plan at that point so choose the 2G option. Once you receive the phone, call vzw and ask them to switch the G2 to your primary line and reinstate the flip phone its line. The 2G plan drops off since its back to being a flip phone again.

You can't just do it online? Switching the phones, that is.

I think you may be able to but it seemed like work when I looked through the options. I figure as much money as I spend with vzw, they can take care of the back end details for me.

I also kept my unlimited data and got the g2 today. If you have another phone with a limited data plan you can just upgrade that line then simply switch SIM cards.
:D

Can you elaborate on the steps? I will be doing this on Monday when mine arrives.

I thought I would have to activate first under my wife's account.
