I have a captivate and used update.zip to root my phone......I used shootme to verify that. My question is.....are there anymore files you can just drop on your /sdcard/ to install a rom or other cool things without having to connect to your computer? Thanks in advance

You can apply an lag fix , that what i did when i first rooted my phone

There are other version of the speed/lag fix. This is the one i used was easy and quick to do just had to run some terminal stuff [How To] FIX APP LAG - xda-developers
