Where is the easiest way on the phone to root for the first time from 2.1 to 2.2 2.3? Without a computer? Or what is the one click method to do this on a PC. Im buying a phone used that already has 2.1 but not rooted.

There are a ton of threads where we walk people through rooting but here is a recent one with step by step directions http://androidforums.com/sprint-hero-all-things-root/333480-first-time-rooting-need-steps.html
