Help Number '1' on weather widget?

I have used this app before and I belive the 1 stands for the number of the location you want to have displayed at the widget from all your locations. I have switched to Weather Services and I'm much more satisfied. There are 5 or 6 different widgets and the customization and accuracy is much more better.

I can only speak for my S3 but the "sun" icon and the number refer to the cities you have input into your weather location list. "1" is for the first city on the list and so on. Touch the icon and it takes you to the list. Obviously if you have no cities stored nothing happens.

Of greater concern is that when I click on Settings/Location Services/ Use Wireless Networks so that the weather automatically updates for my current location Google forces me to allow them access to my location for gathering personal data about me. This annoys me but do I have any alternative since otherwise the weather does not automatically update with location? Is there another better app?
