Number of Dx's

Thought this was interesting. I'm sitting at a poker table on Friday night with the Dx out bluetoothing music. Guy next to me pulls out his Dx and we start talking about it. The girl next to me and her boyfriend each pull their's out. Guy two away pulls his out. Guy in seat 1 pulls his out.

So 6 Dx's out of 9 players!!!!!! 2 BB's and 1 plain jane phone. Not bad stats for Google, sorry apple. Age ranges from early 20's to 50's.

Sounds like you were at a Droid X convention! I don't think I've seen that many Motorola Droid X phones in the same place yet...

went out last night and saw several 4.3 inch owners (EVO, Droid X)

another guy had DX on order lol.

Android Army invasion. Can't stop it.

I think Ive only seen one person have one in the past 4 weeks that Ive had mine. I havent seen 6 DX's in person yet..haha

Wow that is a lot of X's! I still haven't seen many personally. I did pass a guy the other day that had one. It was easy to notice. Definitely see a lot more android phones though compared to any other

I work in sales and I see a ton of android devices. Every time someone pulls one out we have a conversation about it. It kind of builds a nice relationship outside of the selling. I have several customers I have actually helped with some issues (with some help from these forums of course).

The android community really is growing ridiculously fast. And I still can't think of a group that is more in united. Seems like most groups constantly try to one up each other and android users seem to be actually interested in learning from each other.

Just my meandering experiences

There was a thread awhile go on the same topic, maybe a few weeks after launch. X's were rare then. However, I see them **everywhere** now. I saw at least three different people with them at the Phillies game yesterday (sitting near me or in line to get in). I had a conversation with a mom at my kid's cub scout meeting with one. A mom... at a cub scout meeting...

I have saw quite a few out in "The Wild". Considering in just my immediate family their are 6 people with the DX (they saw my phone and loved it). Almost every time I go out whether its to the store or to the bar I see atleast 1 person whip a DX out of their pocket. If you haven't saw one yet its because you just haven't looked or noticed them...They are out their. Next time you go out pay attention to people on phones and you will see one.

I haven't seen any other Droid X's yet besides at the VZW store on launch day!

In fact, the last time I saw a Droid X that wasn't mine was in last week's Community :)

Love the Android platform, but it still has a long way to go before its as polished as the apple OS. You can argue as much as you want, but until you pick up a new iphone and spend a few minutes navigating around, then you will see how fluid and beautiful it is. I do agree though that its not nearly as capable as the Andoid 2.2 OS, but it is really pretty.

I'm not sure it will ever get as you called it "fluid" as the apple but just as windows vs apple on the computers, the choices are your personal preference. Apple Mac lockdown with a slow processor vs I7 quad core that might have problems for half the apple price. Android speed, capablilities, and price vs Iphone lockdown and "fluidness'.

I personally would rather have the Corvette with problems than a Honda for twice as much. Each to their own.

I know about 6 other people that have X's, not knowing that they had them before I did. At my office the number of people with Android phones seems to grow each day, but I am the only one with the X, but they all love it. There are still a lot of people with Blackberry's but most are counting the day until their contract is up so they can switch to an Android phone as well. Only 1 person still left with an iPhone.

I`m a 60yr ole fart the DX is my 1st smartphone and don`t know anyone around that has one.

Man I love this thinggggggggg.

May take a longgggggggggggg learning curve compared to phones of the past:D
