Obama and Admin KNEW!

Less than 5% of people purchase private insurance on their own. Obama was obviously more interested in addressing the vast majority who get their insurance through their employer. He has no control over whether an employer decides to drop coverage for its employers, though. That was happening before Obamacare was ever thought of.
 
He may not knew this but had the Republican party stop playing games this health care and world wouldn't be in the position were in now . Such as Jersey shore , social security and more . Seems that when a problem come up its always Obama . Stop pointing at the president and point at yourself we all making it hard for ourselves . The president is doing all he can to save us. We need to HELP THE PRESIDENT. That means everyone including that sorry azz tea party ...
 
Do you seriously believe Obama has any interest in helping us, Brainz?

1) Even if he did, presuming he did, its Congress that must make the changes, not President
2) I can guarantee you any president, Republican or Democrat, is only there to further his own career and those of his friends
3) All this has been going to the rubbish heap for decades. I agree, its not all Obama's fault, but it isn't all the Republicans, either. Don't delude yourself.

The rich is getting richer while the poor getting poorer! Middle class is going down with the poor when it's all said & done!

On a serious note. I read an article in Consumer Reports stating that France has life expectancy of citizens longer than in USA but major surgeries/health procedures which cost $40k in USA cost only $20k or less in France. That's considering that it's a lot more expensive to live in France than in US.
 
you cannot compare 2 countries lifespan and attribute it to costs of healthcare or cost of living....effect ≠ cause

I read somewhere that the tortoise can live as long as 150 years..... far longer than humans from any country.... despite living a very unsanitary lifestyle and not having any health insurance at all........ bout the same as your comparison

That's true. Obviously, diet, obesity, exercise, smoking, drinking, environment and a host of other factors are involved.

You can compare health care price, affordability and coverage, though - and they are a reasonably significant factor in life span. Making health care more affordable and more widely available is almost certainly going to have a positive effect on average lifespan.
 
Oh no, I hate when things have to be an acceptable standard! Thank god there exists some level of quality control right now, I don't get how you guys put up with such inefficiency and lack of cover.

So see, Obama says he never said it, so that means all the videos of him saying it must be faked! All the "conspiracy theorist" need to quit making up evidence to try to shame a president that is always clueless about everything. He hasn't had a straight answer since he was first elected for anything so how could anyone expect him to suddenly start not only having answers but also being truthful? :rolleyes:

AFAIK the topic is what was known when about folks losing coverage and how it that relates to what was conveyed to the American public. Lets stick to that.:)

If you would like to start a discussion about the poor living conditions and lack of health coverage for tortoises, please, start a thread for that.:p
