Obama Indicts America

We are slowly entering a policed, socialist state of society and I don't like it one bit.

This.
However Bush did more to push this than anyone else in recent times.
He took the 'terrorist' torch and carried it TOO FAR.

So, now we have full body scanners with perverts peeking at your genitals, and now those same full body scanners are roaming the streets just looking under the clothes of anyone that happens to be there.

The TSA, full of cronyism...

Police can put a GPS unit on your car in your driveway and track your movements without your knowledge or consent, nor that of a judge.

Police that can arrest you for recording them and posting it to youtube and then charge you with a crime that carries a damn near life sentence.

This is all in the name of 'catching terrorists'

What I wonder here folks is when people realize this and take their country back?
People are so content with things and it's sickening.
As long as they can sit on their fat asses and eat hamburgers it's all good.

In my lifetime one of a few things will happen:
1. There will be an uprising against the government.
2. The country will turn into a de facto police state.
3. People will realize what's going on and take the country back from these idiots before it's too late and restore our freedoms lost to 'terrorism'

Bush got on TV and said that the terrorists would fail to ruin a way of life.
From where I sit, he helped them achieve exactly that.

+1. Completely agree. This needs to be stopped. Whoever cannot see this, is blinded by the media and government scare tactics. I do believe there will be an uprising but I'm afraid of how it will turn out. A company now has a weapon for sale nicknamed "the pain ray" which basically shoots microwaves at you causing unbearable pain. Think the companies name I called raydeon or something like that. And they are already in production, and supposedly in use in iraq... don't think for one second if we the people revolted they wouldn't hesitate to use them on us and call forth a state of military control, with curfews and all, hence ushering in the new age of slavery. If we don't comply, we get hit with the "pain ray" and get called terrorists.

And MPW, are you saying you really believe what you posted and its your comprehension skills are what's lackin here? "I'm just seeking clarification"

It's always about "clarification" with him. Visine won't fix this issue, we've got ****ing Ray Charles in building, he's damn near blind when it comes to reading.

Prepare to take your essay and break it in to bits. And then explain each bit. Each bit in a separate post. Have fun. It's like Drag Me to Hell. You've got the magic...button..now.

and once again what had the potential to become an intelligent political discussion were a topic could be researched and we could all learn something, has turned into a shouting match to see who can insult more and scream the loudest. Nice job everyone.

If you look at the first three responses to the OP, it never had a chance to be an honest political discussion.

1. Paying any attention to the extreme right in Congress.

Just because every massive legislation in history has been crafted with bipartisan support... doesn't mean, we actually need it right?

2. Upping the ante in Afghanistan

Why listen to what the military needs to win a war... What Generals know about winning wars?

3. Agreeing to help bail out "Wall Street."

As much as I would have liked more "Main Street" help. Not helping Wall Street would have crashed the economy into depression.

4. Trying to get Republican support for health care reform

He didn't really try to get Republican support. He told them what was going to happen and expected them to agree. Believe it or not, a lot of Republican ideas on Health Care reform were good ideas. A compromised mesh of the two parties would likely have produced good reform.

And just so you know, a key indicator of whether reform is good or not, is whether "for profit" institutions effected by it are supporting it, or against it. The Insurance Industry supported Obama's reform full steam. You can count on it increasing their profits.

I'm sure we joined the Human Rights Council voluntarily. Was that bad? Should we not have done that?

The same Human Right Council that announced that Mexico was violating the human rights of the drug cartel?

The same Human Rights Council that has denounced Arizona's SB1070 as a violation of Human Rights, even though every other country in the world has the EXACT SAME POLICY?

No country lasts forever. The US will be no exception. We will fall as a nation eventually. The only question is... when and why.

no, it makes perfect sense. You just need to take the blinders off. We (humanity) have taken great strides towards a one world government, and a cashless society. The eurodollar is one of the greatest examples of this. I for one will fight to the death(and kill for if needed) to keep cashless society ad a one world government from happening. All that will come of it is choas, oppression, and tyranny. A tyrant will always find a pretense for his tyranny. For prime examples, look at the largest empires man has ever known. They always led to tyrants (even if it was a handful of them) ruling over the peasants. Look at the way the economy is, and what our government is doing.

The governments are making people more and more reliant upon them for survival. They are slowly erroding away what little freedoms we have left. A government that can give you everything, can take it away even faster.

Anyone hear the story about how two(maybe more now) courts in california said it was perfectly ok to waltz on somebodys PROPERTY, and slap a magnetic gps tracker on their car, and do all this without a warrant or even probable cause? Do you really feel that is right?

How about all the warrantless wiretaps? The garbage that is known as the patriot act? They can basically call anyone, and I mean anyone a terrorist now and instantly strip you of all your rights as a citizen. Are you ok with that? I'm not. Hell no. Eff that.

How about the government obtaining cell phone gps information without a warrant, or probable cause is that ok? (Even if you have gps off)

Why are many police forces listed as FOR PROFIT organizations? Wtf is that all about?

We are slowly entering a policed, socialist state of society and I don't like it one bit.

I think you need to reread some of these rulings. Nowhere is of probable cause at issue (unless you mean that you need a warrant to legally establish probable cause). The califonia GPS tracking case (United States v. Juan Pineda-Moreno) concerned the application of 2 tracking occassions out of a total of 7 and it did have probably cause. while I disagree with the court's decission, the same dcission was in fact based on case law and prior presedent. What you fail to mention is that at around the same time a very similar case came before a federal appeals court in DC and they found that law enforcement agents should have acquired a warrant before accessing that person's driveway. the conflict is causing a review of the matter and an appeal that might reach the US supreme court.

As for the cell phone GPS tracking you fail to mentione that the issue is currently before the federal court of appeals in PA and that it is looking like the justice department's ability to access this kind of data without a warrant will be curtailed.

As for the patriot act in general, I'll have to agree with you. The ability is necessary, but the potential for abuse is just huge. I've never fully understood how the patriot act managed to pass constitutional review.

BTW, The UN is not about a world government. I spent two years working as a delegate to the UN. You would be surprised how incredibly far from the truth that perception is.

The first 2 I might agree with you on slightly, but why you include mine I'm not sure?? I was asking for more information from the OP regarding the source material, and his reasoning; I would've thought facts and understanding the views of others would've been considered part of an honest discussion.

Probable cause in itself is a giant farce. Seriously. They can claim "probable cause" on just about anything, at anytime, for any reason.

Perhaps, though I believe there is a legal standard for what constitutes probable cause (even if in some cases the standard is fairly low). Still many of the claims made in your original post were incomplete and did not paint a full picture of the cases in question.

Actually if you think about it for a long while, most of it is spot-on.

And no, he doesn't do shit. Hasn't accomplished a damn thing, and has actually just screwed things up worse.

Did you know GW Bush who is an avid golfer, did not golf once during his 8 years of presidency because he didn't think it was right to be doing something he loved while the country was in turmoil? Meanwhile, 2 years into office, The Obama family has taken several expensive vacations, on the taxpayers dime no less.

Where is the liberal outrage when King Obama flies his dog ON A FRICKEN PRIVATE JET to their vacation in Maine?

Where is the liberal outrage when King Obama flies (on AF 1) to NYC for "Date Night"? Est expense for that night was over $240,000.

Where is the liberal outrage when Queen Michelle flies to Spain, with 40 of her closest friends, at rooms costing about $2,500 a night (60 rooms total) for a week of SHOPPING and eating???

The BIG issue is that the liberal "useful idiots" are enabling the Obamas to live like royalty. NOBODY has the right to squander US Tax Dollars, at the rate that the current administration is doing!!!!!

The Obama's DON'T give a rats a$$ about the common man. All they want is to live like royalty for 4 years, with absolutely NO acknowledgment of the sacrifices that the "common man" is making.

Yet the liberals were all over GW Bush when he went to his ranch to chop wood and do other low key things.

REALLY? The libtards are all about "Equality this" and "Equality that" well what's so equal and fair about the obama's squandering tax payer money to fulfill their own fruitless ambitions of fun? How is that fair or equal? Why aren't you libtards all over the First family about that?

If Obama was a republican/conservative, you guys would be all over him about this. But he's not, and libtards aren't. Which just goes to show you guys don't want equality, your all full of shit.

Since were throwing racial epithets and inflammatory comments around....and since it is seemingly looking like she is going to run for President...

EDIT: The gay comments at the beginning of the thread are totally unnecessary...Android Forums has an inter-cultural mix of race, ethnicity, gender and sexual preference

Actually I did think about it and found that your points and your argument conveniently left important parts of them out in order to make an alarmist and innacuarate claim. My reply added the missing information and instead shows a judicial system that is working exactly as it is supposed to and which is in fact reviewing the conflicting legal decissions and upholding the very rights you are claiming we have lost. But hey, don't take my word for itlook up the cases you brought up and read up on them. I did.

Yeah and how many appeals courts do things like this need to go through until its voided as unconstitutional? Meanwhile I promise you police in cali(and probably other states now) are using this practice due to current case law, until something like this is overturned months down the road. By then the damage is done already and its too little too late for the people affected by these 3rd world nation tactics. So no, the judicial system is not working correctly, because if it was, they would have never allowed it into evidence in the first place and we wouldn't even be talking about it, now would we?

Actually the judicial system is working exactly as it was designed to. If the practice is found to be illegal or unconstitutional, evidence collected by it would automatically get thrown out, so if anyone's conviction was dependent on such evidence, it would no longer be legal.

And since this practice takes months sometimes even years, do you think it makes the people who got their rights violated in the mean time feel better?

Absolutely not. I agree, that part of it sucks. however, the judicial system also allows for redress in the case of such violations. granted that is usually in the form of some kind of monetary settlement and for many that is hardly compensation for the time they spent incarcerated, but the point is that yes there is a method to the madness.
