Root oc app suggestions

I'm running kk2.4 with H.A.R. ( yeah, yeah I know) anyway my voltage control settings aren't sticking, I have uninstalled and wiped and reinstalled and removed boot settings.
Basically tried everything I can think of outside of total reload. Reboot means I have to reset my oc settings (yes I save them as boot) and a couple of times they reset without a reboot. What I'm asking is of all the of apps (other than vc) which one would the devs suggest?
 
i used to be a faithful setcpu user..then everyone around here drug me onto the voltage control wagon..but if you cant get voltage control to work i would go with setcpu
 
I use the paid version of Voltage control and haven't had any issues. My second and third choices would be AnTuTu and Setcpu.
