Odd battery issue

So within the past week, I've been realizing my battery has been draining a bit quicker than normal, now 2 nights ago my battery got to about 10% and for reasons unknown I shut off my phone, when I turned it back on about 5 minutes later, it was at 70% battery and lasted for quite some time. So I did it again last night to see, and at 5% I turned it off then back on and it was at 80%. Then the phone lasted from about 11 pm last night til about 10 minutes ago. Now this leads me to wonder if my phone is just reading battery levels wrong? or whats going on. No idea.

I have had that particular issue from day one with my phone.
Every version of the OS has done it, stock, rooted, Custom ROM, Overclocked etc. it didn't matter. One of my co-workers has a D1 as does his wife, Both of them have seen this issue as well.

Its weird, I've had the phone for about a month and a half, but its only started recently doing it this week
