Help Odd Charger Behavior

I purchased a "generic" wall charger at Best Buy. If it turn the phone off and then plug in the charger the phone turns on and boots up. If I plug the charger in while the phone is on and then turn the phone off, it immediately reboots. It's more of a minor annoyance, just wondering if anyone else has had this experiences. Running 2.1 (joeykrim 2.0.4).

You want ODD??? Here's one for you. When my car charger is plugged in, and phone connected, When I start my Expedition, the A/C doesn't work. I disconnect the phone or charger and the A/C starts blowing. I plug it back in, it still works. I have a second charger-- no problem. Took the Expedition to Ford they had a TSB out on it. They replaced blower unit. No more problem.
