Help Odd conectivity issue when going from WiFi to Mobile network

I have a very strange data connectivity issue. It is related to the phone going from a WiFi Connection to a Mobil Network data connection. The phone had been working great until recently, with the remembered WiFi spots and Mobile data network, and going back and forth automatically and correctly.

The problem now is that the phone will connect to either a WiFi or Mobile Data network no problem. If I leave a WiFi networkt it will show the Mobile data connection on the notification area and I can see some back and forth activity on the icon. If I return to be in range with a remembered WiFi network it will show the network as connected on the notification area. Back and forth automatically.

The issue is related to data traffic for the applications. Although the notification bar shows that the phone is connected to the available network, applications, browser and sync do not have the ability to move data on the internet. So far the only solution that I have is to reboot the phone and start working with the network available at that point. Data connectivity is good and reliable until I move from one network type to a different one.

Some things I have tried so far is to delete and add again Remembered WiFi, turn on and off WiFi manually, turn on and off Airplane mode, all to no avail.

Any additional troubleshooting or solutions are apreciated.

I have been playing around with the phone. the problem seems to be with obtaining an IP address when it goes from the network it connects to when powering up (works reliable on either a Remembered WiFi or Mobile Network). If you change the network while the phone is on, it seems not to be able to obtain an IP address.

I have tried using Fix my WiFi to no avail.
