Help Odd dot on Camera?

I have an odd dot in all of the pictures taken with my Evo V 4G camera, and this happens across all ROMs, so it's a hardware thing. Anyone know what might be causing it in the hardware though? A couple of pictures to help explain what I mean- one two

clean your camera...
might be a small scratch in which case, you need to replace that...

Is it the dark smudge looking thing in the upper left corner? If so, it looks like something on your lens. If you had a DSLR with removable lens, i'd suggest something on your camera sensor (CCD, CMOS), but if that's the case, I doubt you can fix it.

Really hope it's just on the surface >.< Any tips for cleaning it? I'm planning on using the same cloth/liquid that I use to clean my glasses, is that okay?

yes, that should work fine. Take a close look at the lens under light before you clean. Move the phone around a little to help illuminate the smudge. You should be able to see it. Even dust can cause a blur like that, but normally, it needs to be really close to the sensor to appear that large.

Also, our phone has two lenses. You want to focus on the top lens as I believe this is the one that is always used for 2D images. Clean them both, but focus on the upper one. Use enough solvent to wet the cloth, you don't want drops of liquid making their way towards the edge of the lens cover where they could get into the phone.

good point... since only the top lens is used for taking 2d pics, i'm sure there is a way to switch the sensor used in the filesystem...

I'm not sure because of the actual physical switch to toggle 2d/3d, might be at the hardware level.

Ah...so the second lens may be physically inoperative until the switch is flipped. That's going to be a tough one to hack around.

Give Mobstergunz 14 hours to bake that in the next release ;)
