Help Odd problems with my WildFire

Hi

Brand new Wildfire and a total newbie to Android.

It appears that I have Android 2.2.

A couple of problems, firstly the box was a bit damaged and there was no user manual in the box. Made me feel that it may have been used before.

my second issue is that the HTC website says that flash works from the browser, well it doesn't with mine. I have tried to download it and it is not available in the market. So I went elsewhere and found the flash 10.1 download, but it wont install.

I then found out that flash only works on certain htc phones, something to do with the processor and therefore will not be visable to any phone that doesn't support it. Well why does the HTC website say that it does work?

Also when ever i go to the running services settings, I am told that I have 46mb of free space from 175mb. I thought the Wildfire should have 386MB Ram and 500ROM! I have a 16GB SD card which I try to move most apps to. However, quite a few have to stay on the phone. I think this is because they were built for android 2.1. Where do the phone only apps install? ROM or Ram?

What I think I am suggesting hear is that I might have an older reconed phone with less memory?

Cheers for any advice ( ex iphone user), and a frustrated one at that

you should have a user manual on original 2gb memory card in pdf format, you are right 10.1/10.2 not compatible with wildfire but it has flashlite installed. 175mb is standard for internal memory, and some apps need to be all internal mem to function properly, and some simply don't have it written in to them.
try an app called apps2sdfree, which will compile all apps that can be moved and also let you know if caches are becoming large:D
