I bought a incredible off the forums and it was rooted using revolutionary. I'm not the most knowledgeable on rooting, and am not sure what the differnce is between revolutionary and clockwork mod...
I usually use the latter (if that makes sense). All was fine with the phone (on MIUI rom) until recently it started going thru boot cycles and would always go to revolutionary on boot. I would try to get out of it, but no buttons worked..The only button that worked would be the up volume rocker button and even on presing that it would scroll down instead of up. Power button would not select anything.
After some frustration i was able to reboot the phone back to MIUI by pulling th ebattery out and holding the up and down rocker simultaneously while powering up. It worked.
I tried to download a new rom but the SD card now seems to be corrupted! I would add a ROM onto the card and it would show that it was added on windows explorer but when I checked on the phone, it wasnt there. Luckily, A friend let me borrow his SD, popped it in, and downloaded a CM7 rom. Only way to get into clockwork mod was to use ROM manager app.
Now, CM7 is sooooo choppy. The phone isn't working right, and I think it amy have to do with this revolutionary business....
Should I re-root (if that is even possible)? Some explainations would be very helpful.
