Hi All

My Desire is just starting to get a bit slow, scrolling is a bit juddery, and when I press the home button the HTC logo pops up, then a little box with the LOADING timer stays on screen for a few seconds - any ideas??

I've not experienced any of those problems yet. However, I have read of some strange things occuring on other people's Desires.

The oddest I have had so far is the weather widget just no longer displaying the weather information. Although that's a pretty common bug apparently?

Mine is the 100%-90% battery drain issue (when apparently on charge). Apparently they all do that though. i just find it odd.

Yes I have??

Oh, I was going to suggest doing that. A battery pull will completely remove power to RAM, clearing any corrup entries that could be causing issues.

Its the same with any phone (except iphone of course) and laptop.

Not had any issues with battery drain when on charge. When my phone is on charge it gets up to MAX and stays there until I unplug the charger.

I may remove battery again and see what happens, but this HTC logo appearing and the the loading timer square is odd.

Actually, I had never noticed it until I let the battery drain until the phone turned off. now it does it al the time.

Odd.

I've had the same problem a couple of times. Things go so slow it nearly grinds to a halt, and then when I press the Home button it sort of reboots itself and does what you describe above with the HTC screen appearing and a timer before things then get back to normal.
I put it down to dodgy apps as I've been looking at a couple of iffy ones recently as I'm planning on getting some similar apps developed (ones that work properly though of course!)

My keyboard keeps on freezing for a second when I'm in the messages app. I can carry on typing but I don't receive haptic feedback and the characters don't appear on screen, then about a second later they all come up suddenly.

These phones are like computers, so I guess they begin to play up when they get bogged down too! Maybe we all just need to format the phone every so often when these problems occur.

This used to happen on the Hero a lot. It was due to lag. My fiance installed handcent on hers and the lag disappeared, although caused MMS issues.

I've never had this lag in the desire yet.
