Root odin modem flash

ive been searching the forums but cant find a clear enough answer. so i flashed back to stock with an update zip in clockwork which worked but my baseband is still the dk17 i was using i need to flash my modem back to di18. im hoping this is the cause of the bug im getting where my screen gets stuck in landscape mode everything else works normally as far as i can tell right now excpet that bug and the dk17 baseband...ok so to the point if anyone cares to answer if i flash the di18 tar is that just my baseband or another complete stock flash????
 
The .tar.md5 file, to my knowledge, will revert EVERYTHING back to stock. So in this case, it will revert the modem, kernel, baseband, Elvis's missing gold tooth, etc back to DI18.
 
thanks kelmar i shoulda known youd have an answer so part 2 the di18 modem zip i just found will that work flashing in clockwork
 
I don't think you'll be able to flash the modem downgrade through clockwork. At least that was my understanding of it.

Oh... moved to Root section BTW :)
 
ok part 3 if u can help and i wont bug u anymore is there a download for just the di18 modem for odin anywhere b4 i wipe everything again
 
just gonna wait on the official then root again...i think ive begun to like flashing back to stock as many times as i have it makes the phone feel almost new
 
Ok back with this issue where my screen is stuck after I close the keyboard everything is stock via odin but I don't kno what's causing this screen still responsive just acts like I didn't turn the phone upright did I not wipe enough or something...help appreciated from readers

Not sure I follow what you are talking about.
 
Ok I'm on the phone right now typing this with the keyboard when I'm done and I close the keyboard the page will stay in landscape even tho I hole the device upright...if I let the screen timeout and lock or go home it comes back
 
Hmmm, have you checked Menu>Settings>Sound and Display?

Factory Reset?


At this point I'm clueless :confused:
 
for anybody that reads and had the same problemas i did i never found a real fix for it so i said screw waiting for the ota its taking to long re rooted flashed dk28 quantum 2.1 rom runs smooth like butter im done with official ota just will just grab it from xda form now on im just ready to see the next best thing my epic feels dated...does that make me a tech junkie if the phones only 4 months old
 
Where is the odin file. I know people have been asking this but I'm lost. I'm pretty good with this but but I'm lost. Simple cereal box instructions would be helpful. Thanks
