I wonder where this post will end up. I've been active on the droid X forums and the original Moto Droid forums for quite a while. Since November 6th 2009 I have never seen so many "moved" threads as I do on this Xoom forum. I don't think that its the posts, its the moderators here. Sometimes new information comes up that is worthy of being at the top of a new thread instead of being number 300 on page 17 of a thread that started 6 months ago. Thats an exaggeration of course, the xoom has only been out for 2 weeks, but you get my point. Maybe it's just me, but I would like to see just a little less "moved" posts.

im going to say this and then close this thread.

first off, if you have an issue with how moderation is done, send a message directly to a moderator. posting your "rant" such as this in the forum results in diluting the forum and taking the focus away from this forums main them--to support the motorola xoom.

secondly, everyone wants to make their own thread. 8 out of 10 times the subject is about a subject previously posted. for example, flash is NOT officially released on the xoom, so there are unofficial flash apps posted. there is no reason for there to be separate threads on this. its all the same subject. this is why it gets moved/merged.

there are a lot of people who lurk and it makes it easy for everyone to keep the same info in one thread.

some members cant be pleased, such as your self and the others who "thanks" your post. thats the way it is in the world.

moderation is a part of the forums. if mods didnt "mod", there would be countless threads upon threads of the same info, thus junking up the forums.

if member would take time to search and add to a thread that speaks on what they want to post about, moderation becomes less as the members are "self" moderating themselves.

if a member would post their issue in the proper sub form that would lessen the need to have threads moved. many members feel the main section is a catchall for everything--its not.

its unfortunate you took time out of your day to post this in the forum. you could have sent myself or any mod a note to express your concerns. if you needed help in locating a thread/post, by all means search me out! this goes for ANY forum on this website. if i cant find the answer ill get someone to help.

at the end of the day, there will always be people who dont care for moderation and want things left alone with no moderation, however, for the better of the site and to keep info tidy and in its proper place for a site as big as this, moderation is a necessary step.

i encourage anyone who wants to talk about this more to contact me offline or any mod. airing your frustration in the forum is counterproductive and unnecessary.

lets please get back to our love of the xoom. :)
