Ok basketball fans. It's that time of year we all look forward to.. March Madness!!! I will form a private AF group either on yahoo or cbs so we can fill out a bracket each and see who is the smartest/luckiest basketball fan on the forum.

The deal is... you have to sign up either to CBS or Yahoo to join the group. I prefer yahoo for I've set up groups there before but I'm willing to use either site you choose. Vote quick for I want to have the group ready to join by Sunday evening.

I vote for Yahoo.

I didn't bother with a poll.. hadn't anticipated that many replies. Thanks for your input. Man there will be some great bball in the tourney. I'm excited.
 
Here we go.

I created a forum group for us to fill out a bracket on Yahoo. If you don't have a Yahoo account you will have to cerate one when you log into our private group. I have had a free account there for many years and I have never been bothered with trash mail related from my information being there. They have kept my email address private and to my knowledge my information has never been shared.
That being said.. our private group is the AF group. The password to log into the group is android (no caps) You can log in by following this invitation link:

Once you create an account or if you have an account, all you need do is make up a name for your bracket and save it. Next you can click on your bracket name and it will bring you to your bracket where you can click and drop etc to fill out your bracket.
For those of you who have played before, you know the ropes.. have fun. For those of you that have never played... you are in for a good time. Even if you don't like/follow basketball you are just as likely to have the best bracket as the rest of us.
I'd like to say it's all skill but there is a solid reason the call it March Madness lol.
With the upsets and the from nowhere teams rising to the top, it's anyone's bracket that will have the most correct picks.

I went with the default scoring for those of you who wanted to know. There are no bonus points for upsets. The scoring is all done by Yahoo. Once the brackets are locked in.. all we have to do is sit back and root for our picks to come through for us.
In the end, a trophy will be awarded to the person who has the most correct picks. It is something that Yahoo keeps track of for you and if you play over the years.. brackets to fantasy football.. your trophy case will reflect what you've done through the years.

Best of luck to each of you. I'm not certain as to when the brackets must be locked in. Normally it's Tuesday but since we have 68 instead of 65 or 66 teams.. it might be different this year. To be safe.. I'll have my bracket filled out by Tuesday.
 
Great stuff thanks for doing this. I believe you dont need you bracket in till Thursday when the field is actually down to just 64 i.e. after the 4 games tuesday. I'll be joining the AF group for sure
 
The First Four games are not counted in Tourney Pick'em.
Deadline to submit your bracket is 12:15pm EDT on Thursday, March 17.

Looks like a deadline has been posted on Yahoo. We have been warned. Get your bracket submitted before 12:15 pm EDT, Thursday, March 17

I have filled out so many brackets my fingers hurt lol. Remind me to cut back a bit next year. By the time I play in everyone's group and have a few groups of my own... and a few on espn.. it is madness... but fun. Thanks to all that joined the AF group. It's not too late if you want to fill out a bracket in the next few hours. Best of luck to everyone. Enjoy..
 
Yeah there's only like 4 brackets in here whats up with that peeps?

Also I did the max 10 brackets on ESPN, hopefully one is good.
 
I was hoping for a better turn out.. for sure. Should have started it a bit earlier. I wanted to put a thread pointing the general forum people to this thread in the lounge but I was discouraged.. so I didn't. Might have gotten a better turn out if the word was out. Not that many people frequent the sports sub group.

I filled out my allotment on espn as well. Out of all the brackets I have going everywhere you can think of... I have one perfect bracket after two games lol.
I'm already eating everyone's dust. I just KNEW Old Dominion was going to smack down Butler.. WRONG lol.
 
if you join with an existing bracket will you void your entry into that million dollars?
 
I'm sorry that there are some people that didn't get in. I was tardy it getting a group established and I should have lobbied harder to put up a notice in the lounge area as a reminder that we were here. Sorry boys and girls.

On another note... it's too bad you aren't playing against me this year. Looks like I'm a push-over. I'm beginning to think I couldn't even pick my own nose.
 
Sure didnt. But I got 13 out of 16 and my zags won as expected. I got them beating BYU too.
Looks like TarHeel FTW is done he had St John's in the Final Four ouch.
I know someone who had Louisville in the Final Four. Hurt to lose a Final Four on Day 1
