Official 2011 March Madness Thread

Does anyone out there have a bracket that has a potential correctly picked final four? Out of all the groups I'm playing in.. there is one guy that has a chance to get all four of his pics into the final four... and that's it lol. And, sorry to say, that guy is not me lol. The announcers/annalists all suggest that the entire field is down in quality this year.. My opinion is that there is more parity in the NCAA teams than we've ever seen before. Personally, I think this makes for more difficult bracket guessing but is good for college basketball.
 
Tough loss my friend. I thought Florida would get them in the end. At least if KU wins tomorrow we won't be talking trash at each other lol. I know that doesn't help man.. Take some solace that making it to the elite eight is quite a dang achievement! Takes a lot of talent.. health.. coaching and a boatload of luck to advance beyond the sweet sixteen in my opinion.

abt Gatrs vs butler game I think its bad coaching by Billy Donovan, why he didnt call timeout when he have one timeout left 10 seconds before end of 2nd half ?!

Why the hell he let Walker shoot 3 pointer 8 seconds before OT period end ?! They need to take a time to shoot the ****ing 3 pointers within 3 seconds before game over.

We are done my friends. I want to thank all of you for playing. I would say that we stink but that might be an understatement lol. Congrats to Saps for having the only bracket with a final four team correctly picked. The rest of us I'm afraid are out after this weekend's play. Zero final four pics... zero finals pics.. and zero champion pics... sheesh lol. We rule! lol

Actually, the leader on espn has correctly picked the final four. I only saw one bracket but the sports radio today said there were two brackets with correctly picked final four. Damn crazy year. But hey man, you schooled my butt. Congrats!
 
Yeah I have one bracket on EPSN where Im still in the 98.8 percentile but that will drop since I just had UConn making it this far then losing to OSU. I do have Kentucky alive in another bracket and making the title game but not winning it. Bottom Line Im pretty much done there too
 
Oh I was going to mention and forgot... my local university, Wichita State is in the NIT finals. They lost a bracket buster to VCU a few weeks back.. by one point. Pretty much trashed our chances for the NCAA tourney.. sent VCU on their way.
We play Alabama in the finals. I think bama is the better team but who knows. I thought KU was better than VCU lol. WSU is in the Missouri Valley Conference.. a mid major. We groom coaches here lol. Texas A&M Turgent coached here and so did Colorado's Boyle. We have a huge basketball tradition here and sell out our "round house" yearly.. but.. it's been quite some time since we had a major run in the NCAA.
If you don't have nothing brewing.. root for my Shockers Thursday.. they need lots of karma lol
 
For those that watched and rooted for my shocks.. thanks! They took the NIT title over Alabama tonight with a score of 66- 57. The Shockers were in control the entire game and looked to be the better team on the floor tonight. Was a fun run for the team.. setting a team win record of 29 this season and displayed it's still a team event.. sharing the work and points between the starters and five deep off the bench. All ten scored and all ten had a rebound.
 
Was this a weird tournament or what??? Even the final was one of the weirdest ball game I've seen in tournament history. Butler shot a whopping 18% from the field .... that just about says it all.
 
I'm not certain either team should have been in the championship game. I think all the top seeds played like crap and lost games they shouldn't have. UCONN and Buter played better than they normal and then played terrible against one another. It didn't look like either team wanted to win the first half. The second half wasn't much better. Crazy sh*t
