Pre-ordered mine yesterday through Best Buy, I'll be getting a $50 store gift card and then another $100 buy back from HTC = $50 phone!!!

Now I just hope the dev community will get behind this phone, I've been spoiled by the OG Evo support. :p

Congrats on the 50.00 phone! Nice! I would expect the dev community to get fully behind this phone, especially with HTC selling a Developer's Edition.

It does seem like the devs are very much behind this phone being that it is only just out of the starting gate. There's already five different ROMs available for the HTC One and i'm just trying to decide which one I like the most! :D

I love the dev support on this, the phone isn't even out yet and they already have it rooted. :D On a side note, a little loving for all you Sprintaphiles. HTC One Glacial Silver for Sprint $129.99 for contract renewal on Newegg. Obviously, if you are not a Sprint customer you are better off going through Sprint because the phone will only cost you $99.00 for porting your number over. (Thanks Sprint for ignoring your current customers in favor of new ones)
 
Been watching this phone for sometime and after reading the Anandtech review and the users on this forum, I can honestly say i will be getting this phone for sure. Plus when you have the original HTC EVO for 4 years it's time.
 
I'm really interested in this phone. I always check everywhere before buying anything. I had signed up online at Best Buy for the $50 card with my next smartphone purchase some time ago. Not sure if people know but Sears(yes Sears) online sell smartphones too. I got my wife her Blackberry style new when released for $29.99 . They have the One right now with Sprint for $149.99 with a contract extension. Better deal then Best Buy for upfront money anyway. Just an FYI for anyone interested.
 
I am amongst the few who can wait until the smoke is cleared before getting this bad boy. In the meantime, my Evo 4g LTE is doing fine. ;)

I have a feeling it is going to be quite a wait for this on Verizon unfortunately.

Heck they have barely mentioned the GS4 which we all know will be the hottest selling android phone this year. So this sucks for those of us who are wanting the HTC One on Verizon.
 
As an existing T-mobile UK customer I toyed with the idea of switching to EE to get 4G (but it's only available in a few major cities at the moment) so thought I'd get the phone on an 'unlimited' TMo plan instead at a discount and switch to EE sometime next year. After a bit of haggling (as a existing customer the upgrade was already discounted, but I quoted Vodafone and Three offers) I managed to get them down to
 
I have been looking at the reviews of this phone for some time with great curiosity and some trepidation.

For all of those that will poo-poo the iOS affinity, I work in IT for a living and hate messing with stuff in my off time. I guess it is a bit like a car mechanic- they tend to drive some of the most dilapidated cars on the road.

I have really had no complaints with my trusty old iPhone 4 other than the small screen and slow data (3G only) so I have been looking to upgrade. The initial and obvious choice was the iPhone 5, which was a tremendous disappointment. This sent me in search of a new device and Android looked promising...

I stopped into an AT&T store today just to see if they had a display model. They did, in fact they has several and actually had to wait my turn to fondle this techno-gem...

Fit an finish were amazing, coming from Apple. The display is impressive and much crisper than I expected. Perhaps my perspective is skewed by too much Apple flavored Cool-Aid but I was impressed.

One worry I have had was the transition to the Android "feel" and interface. I have no reason to crap on Blinkfeed and have to say I really like it- customizable to provide useable information and if HTC continues to tweak it, I see it being VERY flexible and a tremendous value-add.

I know nothing of Android but read about the concerns realting to only two buttons for navigation. Since I am an Android virgin, I noticed nothing that would dissuade me from using the hell out of this (I guess ignorance is bliss). I will say that it seems that the HTC logo would make for a good home button...

1st impressions were 100% positive- this will be my next phone.

Like you, I came from an iPhone although I have to confess this isn't my first Android phone and i'm keeping the iPhone 5 to use as a work phone. Check out my thoughts in the various threads on the HTC One forum. Mine are completely subjective, I realise, but I am an iPhone user through and through so hopefully my thoughts will be useful to you.

You've made a good choice, I just cannot stop using my new HTC One.

Gotta agree with you on Blinkfeed, I absolutely love it and pleased to see in the week I've had the phone the content has been added to daily.. my hope is the BBC will add its news and sport content then I will be over the moon!

Not a review but first impressions from using the phone at the store.

Hardware - simply amazing. I am an Apple lover for their hardware and build quality. The HTC One makes my iPhone 5 feel inferior. It actually makes my Note 2 feel like a Fisher Price toy.

Software - Sense 5 is great. I love Blinkfeed.

Camera - Looks great on the screen but when I looked at photos on a computer, not the best. Washed out color and poor crop quality.

If Verizon picks up the HTC One, I am in for one first day it comes out. First in line.

You know what guys, I already called the stores and told them I am reserving the HTC One and the Verizon store employee thought I was crazy.

Of course I want this phone, but not enough to switch from Verizon to ATT or anyone else. It's just too complicated, and probably expensive. I fully expect to hear an announcement by Verizon by June about the HTC one variant, probably called the DLX. Just to show you how excited I am about this phone, I currently have an Iphone 5 which is great. But this looks even better!!

Update: I could not wait. Sorry Verizon. I ordered the 32 GB in Silver from ATT. Website says it is shipping the 16th. We'll see if they have a hold on it to make sure I don't get it before the 19th.
 
If Verizon doesn't get the HTC One by early May, I think it is pointless to even release it.

You'll be well into the 2nd/3rd quarter and newer devices are on the brink of release: iPhone 5S/6, Note 3, Motorola X, and even the GS4.

At this point for me, it is whoever can get the phone out first on Verizon gets my money.
