well it's more like really warm, and occasionally hot, all while not really doing much. it starts to heat up a few minutes on the home screen, and gets even hotter when downloading stuff from the market, meanwhile i have most of the tasks not running, wifi off, brightness really low and otherwise no other data incoming or outgoing. plus i don't know how i feel about the battery life, i had it fully charged by 12am and at 830am it already reads 80%, my iphone 3gs used to drop only about 2 to 5% in the same time period...
 
I have set up a corporate email account on my phone and set turned the notifications (status bar) on, ringtone to silent, and vibrate on. I do not want a ring every time a get an email, only vibrate.
When the phone receives an email, nothing happens. No status bar notification or vibrate. Very fustrating.
If I select a ringtone, I get the ringtone, vibrate and status bar notification.

How do i get this to work?

I had this issue overnight.


I left the phone on the charger. Phone was near my pillow as usual for any of my cell phones. I woke up w/ it vibrating (had a text message). Grabbed the phone and it was HOT. I mean, HOT! It was still on the charger, but battery life was 40%??!?!! I was like wtf? I unplugged it, plugged it back in...nothing, would not accept the charge. After a few minutes it accepted the charge.
 
As Czarcat pointed out, I noticed that the reds and blues are distorted. Angry Birds really shows this in the menu bar and level screen since it uses so many colors. Any one else seen this?

I am not getting any notifications either. My text msg will notify, but not email.

At least you got your account set up. Im having a birch of a time trying to get mine to connect with it. My nexus one was set up in 2 minutes. This phone needs an IT admin.
 
If it is exchange, do not use the email setup buutton. Use the coperate sync. This will give you realtime push mail to your device.

You will not enter a port. You will just enter your user name and domain.
 
After each boot, the "stay awake" feature for the screen is always selected even though it was not before shut down. Not a huge problem, but annoying nonetheless.

add the moto messaging widget to the hm screen.

Just don't expect to alerted to a new email. I am on hold w/moto now trying to fix.

I tried that. When I click on the icon, it opens my account for about 1 second then closes back down again. Im rebooting right now to see if that helps.

EDIT: Didnt help. I click the icon, the email opens, a second later closes down and Im back at my home screen.
 
Ok, I think I did a doozy here. I accidentally deleted my corp email from the accounts list. However, its still listed as a valid account in corporate sync. I cant find a way to delete it completely and then start over. I think thats why its opening then closing again.

EDIT: Looks like I need to do a factory reset from what Ive researched. Awesome! Nothing like a factory reset after less than 24 hours with a new phone you just spent half of which setting it up.

EDIT 2: After the hard reset everything worked. The corporate email synced and even got notification icon and sounds working for it too. Just took a few hours into the night to set everything back up. Big thanks otter9309 for your quick help!!
 
looks like i'll be returning my atrix 4g, the music player keeps shutting down every two songs or so, have to charge my battery twice a day, syncing (dragging and dropping) is a pain as well, keep having have to unplug and replug the usb (or turn off the screen timeout to make it work continuously)... :/
