Is this because they are integrated into system?
Yeah just Uninstall them you can use the built in system Uninstaller

Shouldn't be, updates go into /data even if they're system apps. As for the layers manager you have to uninstall the one that came with the ROM and install it from the play store I believe.

After rw reboot right?
Are they part of the gapps package? Curious because I like the fact that they're integrated & would like to find a way to keep em that way. TB used to integrate apps & updates to system, but its hit or miss with this phone.

And you're a Dolphins fan too!

I'm just wondering if anyone is having issues booting after turning on some of the int.d options
I'm using the link2sd init script, but it was installed by the app to mount sd-ext partition. The scripts run on boot, so if you have multiple scripts enabled, it may take a Lil longer.

I let it try to boot for an hr

I know that if you enable both the loopy smoothness and speedy modified tweaks it causes a bootloop but that was a few versions ago. I don't really use the init.d tweaks though so idk if it still does or not.

That might have been it, I had both

cant get to work ringtones but easy fix use the app ringroid make the ringtone and finally ringtone stick nice rom

I got ringtones to stick after I used the switcher/restore BROKEN app....
Dunno why it's diff than "manual flashing" em...
But, when I did after first install I had the ringtone deal....
Things are all copacetic now... All I do is enjoy my phones stability and goof on themes and game type stuff......
Some social media
.. But I tend to be confusing

Using a different app from the system sounds menu, I couldn't get the ringtones to stick. But if I used system media, they stuck. I use Zedge to dl ringtones, so I just set ringtones by loading that app instead of system media.

Easiest solution:
While in TWRP
mount system
use file manager to move ringtones to system/media
Reboot
Use system menu to change ringtones.

Or just use an app. Lol

Working on getting TWRP official for the Zmax. I still gotta trim it down. I'm real close to it compiling w/o turning max size flag off.
I've eliminated some things to get the size down, but needs more gone.

Just informing.
