An Apple Iphone is not a trend, fashion, or however you want to call it. When it becomes a fashion, there's no way in hell will it loose to the evo. Evo is still a geek phone. It will take too much to wipe clear of some of these apple lovers.
I'm going to have to agree. AT&T already has a much larger customer base, so those who are not looking to leave them and upgrading this Summer may choose the iPhone, as well as current iPhone customers. Won't the 3G be two years old and ready for replacement this summer?
On top of that, this market doesn't appear to be controlled by economics. Sprint and T-mo have the cheaper plans in the big four, yet they're number three and four. People want phones, and they'll pay the price, even if it means $35 on data and texts rather than a Simply Everything Plant. The iPhone is the "it-phone" and Verizon has the "it-network." This phone can't hurt Sprint (unless they royally screw it up), but it's not a savior for Sprint either. Their savior is a multi-faceted solution with starts with equipment and marketing and ends with network and customer service (real or perceptions).

i feel sad for customers who get played like that
