Try to resist the EBAY temptation. Wait the 2 weeks and use the money you save to buy:

HDMI cable
spare battery
case
Screen protector
micro SD card
spare charger and micro USB cable

Just trying to think practically. Those items together would probably cost around $150. Also if you order all of these now, they will probably arrive before or just in time for your phone

Agree 100% I got everything but the case, and spent about $90.
 
haha I got a case, extra usb cable, screen protector and an auxiliary cord..

I am not in the "world" yet.. won't really need HDMI cable any time soon and I will use the 8gb that comes with it.. I have an 8gb Ipod Touch and nowhere near filling it up lol

Yes.. I am that lame :D

Speaking of 8gb that the EVO comes with....is it really necessary to get more? If I'm not really downloading like over 1000 songs or saving like zillions of pictures, I should be ok right??? I know it's a stupid question. lol Can you or anybody answer this?

it works for me... ONCE I start to get close then I will get a bigger card.. until then..I am fine :)

I believe one of the faster ways to fill it up would be to take lots of video. If you record sparingly or will at the very least offload the videos soon after recording then you should be fine.

Just upload all your files to a folder on your computer from the MicroSD and swap them out and copy the files from your computer to the new card. Did it from the 2GB that came with the hero to the 16GB that I bought. And I have 2 GB left. Maybe I'm just a memory whore?

Hello everyone, it's been awhile. It's true, I bought an EVO from earldriscoll for $500. Thanks Earl!!!

I'm working on some reviews of my own and I will post them here. Today, I'm going out to take videos and pictures with the EVO and in a couple of days, I'll post what I have here at AF.

Tomorrow, I have a get together planned for those that live in the Tampa area. We will be meeting Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm at the Westshore Marriott. One of our members, Mateo is a manager there at 1001 N Westshore Blvd. If you happen to show up and don't see us, ask for Matt McAlister. He said he would be able to provide a boardroom with a conference table, office chairs, wifi, and refreshments.

Nice to "meet" ya Bill... I'm a newbie around here, but am loving the forums so far and am anxious to get my hands on my EVO come June. Hope you're enjoying your phone.
