I'll deff be getting the black. The White back looks almost as random as my huge Seidio replacement back for my Hero with it's 3500 mAh battery. And by the way how the heck do you get an avatar? I've been trying to do this for so long and I can't figure it out. I also tried searching the forum but nothing.

I think it says greater than 7mp...but you are right about the moneygram...I think I got overly excited from coming home after a 13 hr work day, lol...that and wishful thinking!
The absolute best drop protection is an Otterbox Defender! They are big but worth it if you are seriousely afraid of droppage. There is no EVO version yet but they said they are making one soon.

Does anyone remember when that ebay auction ended, before it was pulled? Wondering if it was around May 12? Seemed like a good ebay seller?? He didn't state it would ship at the end listing date, but still if it did, 2 to 3 weekd would be around May 22. LOL.. I know it's a reach.

I'm hoping seidio has their case ready before launch. I really like the innocase, my friend has one for his iphone.
Edit: on second thought, they have nothing for the hd2 or incredible yet. I doubt they will have it for a while.

Yeah...just checked out the innocase 2....for the Eris...just to get an idea...and it's pretty cool. In fact, this may be the best answer to the whole worrying about dropping it issue? Still, I wonder if it takes a phone that is already pushing it with regard to size...and makes it just a little too bulky?
The weird thing is...one of the descriptions I read about this case is that it provides full protection both front and back....yet it looks like you can choose your own screen protector...yes? I feel like this is a dumb question...but compulsively want to ask. For example....I could use a Ghost Armor screen protector and then slip the EVO into a Seidio Innocase 2....yes?
One final thought...I'm betting I'll drop my phone...at least once within a years time....but I also get the people that are in the "naked" camp....it's probably the best way to go appearance-wise.
I can vouch for Boxwave.com. Their stuff is awesome! I've had a Boxwave screen protector on my iPod Touch for 2 years+ and it's still scrollin' smooth, like the butter on the muffins.

I have a friend who has an HD2 and yes it is quite nice. At the time that I saw it I did not know that the size of it would be <<clapping hands together, "My cousin Vinny" style>> "Identical" to the Evo.
This is more a "Sense" question than an Evo question so excuse me, do you know if you can name the different screens in "Sense UI" as in this is my "Work" screen, my "Weekend" Screen and so on?

I can only go off of my experience with the Eris. you can't name different "screens", but you can name your different "scenes". Each scene has 7 home screen panels. It comes preloaded with scenes something like: work, social, travel, etc. The only thing that sucked on the Eris was, HTC preloaded these scenes with what THEY thought should go in them. You cannot make changes to them and them save them under that "work" or "social" scene. You'd have to save it under a completely different scene. So, in that case, their preloaded scenes are pointless unless you feel the widgets/apps in the given scenes are exactly what you want/need.
Hope this makes sense, and hopefully they updated their Sense with the ability to save changes to their preloaded scenes.

I'm not the authority on Android, but with my HERO running 1.5 I can. There called scenes. Each scene has 7 screens to customize and then you can save depending on what you need it for. Hope that helped!

You know...your post started me thinking. In the beginning I wanted an iPhone on Verizon....so I could join most of my family on that carrier...waited...then the Droid came out. Didn't really care for it and thought...dang...I've held on to my Katana for close to 3 years...what's a little more time? In the process I stared to become very interested in Android...and the possibilities. And along the way I've waited for several phones...completely losing interest in the iPhone...and actually feeling a bit contemptuous (did I spell that correctly) of Apple. I realize we have Apple to thank for much of the technology push...and they make a pretty solid product....but their philosophy...and arrogance....and attempts to shut down competition are a bit aggravating. Still...it's very interesting to see what they are coming out with...and it looks like the android phones have pushed them forward quite a bit. Every review in the past gave the nod to Apple for their very friendly and easy to use OS...and I know people who are just in love with their iPhone 3G. So what's happened to me...have I become an Android fanboy? Maybe....and this is a little disturbing. What would I do if Apple were to release a competing 4G WiMax capable phone on Sprint....hypothetically of course...about the same time as the EVO 4G? I know I would at least want to read a few reviews...but there it is....in the back of my mind creeping out is the fanboy side saying....nope!....it's the EVO 4G for me! So...it's interesting what 7 months will do to ones outlook! And even though I've said I think the EVO 4G could steal the show..I'm starting to doubt my own words. I think with phones...like politics...the truth and substance doesn't always carry the day...it's all about perception. I hope things go well for the EVO...and that I get one in my greedy paws before I go completely mental!
I am no fan of any one OS, but if I had to chose it would be Android. I will say this though. Look at iphone and what it does and does very well, then look at the article I posted and question this... If Apples iphone does it so well, why then do they want to copy what Android already has done.
The way I see it, I gave up Web OS for Android because they both did the same thing, but IMO Android just did it a lot better, now iphone is trying to come along like a parasite and suck the life blood out of Android becuase of what it's becoming.
The iphone took an industry that was out of control and gave it control and for that I will always be thankful. However, just as I am no fan of any one OS I will have to say Android is the closest to my heart. It does what I want when I want and with ease and is priced fairly. Unlike Apple and AT&T that only seem to want to take advantage of us and our money, they can keep there lack-luster, yester-year product and shove it. I'm with Android and Sprint, HTC is a bonus!
