nope... this creates a problem...

in order for bestbuy to get credit for the transaction, they need to activate the phone before you leave the door. they cannot take ur upgrade eligibility without manually activating your phone. if they do, then any sprint rep can do this to random numbers and get phones for a discount.

so maybe i have to go to a Sprint corporate retail store and not a BB?

no big deal either way.
 
Sprint can sell you the phone and put it on your number and then when you turn it on at home it will self activate. You can leave it in the box np.
 
Sprint is a good company. They have good benefits and I have enjoyed working there. My only thing is that they didn't have any big phones to go against the iphone and I like the hero but the screen is too small and texting is a pain. The one thing I don't like about Sprint retail is the MIR that we have and BB doesn't.

i think he might be saying it could F up your upgrade price discount or rebate - especially if you go to BB.

It was not an attack at all.. Its called put up or shut up.. I know I am a late comer but I see so much Speculation posted as fact..

For me I don't know why but it rubs me wrong.. if you speculate its all cool but if you post like its fact then it should be questioned..

Like I said a few posters post like it's fact when it is not proven or its fiction..

Believe me I am not trying to cause any friction.. I just want to see good, reliable information posted as fact..

The other information can be posted as Speculation..

Ok from now on anything I will be posting will be Fact. The only thing that I have been told is by HTC reps is that it is coming to Sprint on June 6h to sell that is not Fact. The rest is straight from training info.
 
so i guess by this time tomorrow night we should know the release date? all signs point to June 6. kind of anticlimactic, no?

It won't mess up anything. Best Buy doesn't have rebates, they do instant. So you could buy the phone and have it activated on your account and change the phone to another line if you wanted too.

hey gekko i actually find this post rather offensive on several levels. i don't know your intent of course, and i would like to think you mean well. no disrespect intended if i'm totally off base

Either you are speculating or you have factual information with proof and can back it up..

When I post facts I say it is fact and I am willing and can back it up that info..

When I speculate I speculate because I can't back it up with info or don't want to back it up and get my sources in trouble..

Considering the information htc.EVOlution posted about Best Buy potentially offering pre-orders as of Thursday, I'd love to see an early release date.

HTC reps told me. I said this from the very beggining. The reps came to our store and showed us the phone and told us the launch date. I am not changing anything I said. Get off my back please EIEIO. I am at the point that we will be hearing lots more shortly in the training and I feel that I don't wish to share any more information as I am always attacked when I do. I am out.
