Got that one too....it's a $100 credit, but you have to wait 61 days to get it. I can live with that. :)

its only for business accounts, not for everyday joe's like the majority of us.
 
Well went ahead and pre-ordered mine this morning at Radioshack...I was the first one to pre-order it there I think..the guy was clueless at first, didn't even know what I was talking about even though they had a display case up promoting the fact that you could pre-order it..finally he went and looked on the computer and realized what was going on. RS had a brochure that told the workers step-by-step how to handle pre-orders and he still was having trouble, eventually the manager had to come over and help him.

Anyway...I eventually got my pre-order..$50 down and a big ass receipt to show for it. This is a dinky little Radioshack in the ghetto and I don't think there's going to be many pre-orders at that store, so I have nothing to worry about as far as getting my EVO.

Now sometime between now and the release I have to go to Sprint and get my plan changed. Getting off a family plan that I shared with my ex GF and getting on an individual plan, but I'll do that when I buy the EVO.

Thanks for the information. I'm used to the iPhone where there's hundreds of accessories available, where as the Android's it's all new to me so I'm not real familiar of what comes with a launch.

That thing is huge! My touch pro 2 box was like 1/4 that size. You're really making me hope it comes with a dock...that seems highly unlikely though. I've had every treo, the touch pro and the touch pro 2 and none of them came with a dock...

why would they give it for free if they can make money selling an accessory everyone would like for mucho dinero?
 
Yeah that box is pretty large. Not what I was expecting either.. You are right, they usually dont give alot away in the accessories department. I gotta say something though...

Thank you Sprint for finally giving us loyal customers such a bad ass phone! I cant tell you how happy it makes me to know that for once we have the best handset around right now. We finally have our flagship device and can also finally break free of all the "Yeah Sprint has good prices but no good phones" BS. We have had good phones but now it is undeniable that we have THE phone!
 
hey do android phones (or will the evo) have any word processing functions? will i be able to create docs, edit etc.?

Just clicked on this link and it says the account is suspended. Anybody have a clue as to why this would happen? I assume that they are only open during business hours, and it is almost midnight, but that seems like a weird response for a business that is just closed. If anybody can shed some light on this or give a working url, I'd appreciate it.

I do not have one yet...
But I've been looking at the app catalog and it seems that MS office has a free app that lets you view documents and a $15 app that lets you fully edit all their formats. I'm sure google docs lets you use them to the fullest extent but I've never used them so I don't know for sure.
