Absolutely amazing. WoW!!!!!! Took about 2 hours to activate cuz sprints site was down ( I wonder why ). But it was worth the wait. And they pushed an OTA update to fix the SD card issue. Thank you HTC and Sprint and Google!!!!
 
Got mine today and to my surprise the 4G network was turned on in Jacksonville, FL. Do not know how long it will stay up but its up now. :D
 
Well I'm back,

first off let me say

I HATE IT, its way to freaking big, it doesn't have a scroll button, and no 4G here in NYC. What were they thinking of making this garage. The Apple iPhone is still a better product hands down.

okay as I was saying...

I FREAKING LOVE IT. Wow.

First off, I sign off last night at 12 midnight, tried to go to sleep and just couldn't. Finally did but it was short lived. Wok up at 2:30 then 3:15 then 4:30. Until I finally said, why bother just stay up. Got to Radio Shack at exactly 7AM. They had just finished setting two guys before me.
The lovely girl tried setting up my corp accounts but was unable to. She kept saying I'm sorry but I can't set you up. You never seen a grown man with tears in his eyes like I was. lol Anyway I guess the manager noticed me and tried to help. Also no go. Then I remembered that corp account have a special number to call to get stuff like this fixed, so I gave him the number and in less than 10 minutes for each phone I had my EVOs.
I think the reason why it was being problematic in setting up was because one of my accounts was still on SERO. Well goodbye $30 SERO, but since its a special rate plan I got the phone plan for 59.99 plus the $10 what you might call it fee for a total of $69.99 a month. With the company discount of 17 % I will end up paying $58.26 a month. But thats not including the hotspot fees.

Anyway, Radio Shack did not have that many accessories but I did buy a screen protector and a carrying case. The Carrying case I really do not think was made for the EVO. It fits but fits tight. I also bought two iGo plugs for my iGo car power adapter.

The Radio shack pre-order pickup was finished at 8:15AM so it took an hour and 15 minutes total for two phones. I then proceed to go to Best Buy to see if they have any accessories. In both Best Buys' I went too were full of pre-order folks on line. I asked if they have any EVO accessories and the manager said a few but its reserved for pre-orders only. So that was a lost cause.
Finally got home and I started to play with the EVO. and even got the OTA update that fixes the SD card issue. woo hoo.
Oh did I say I love this freaking phone. lol

Woohoo! Man this thing is freakin amazing. The best buy wait took a few hours with the whole backup thing but it was totally worth it. The FM radio works PERFECT and it's sooo clear.

Got to my sprint store around 6 this morning, was number 10 in line, around 8 there were over 40 people waiting. At 8 they let 10 of us in at a time and I was in and out in about 20 minutes, got my update for the SD card in about 10. Trying to take a nap but this phone keeps talking to me.
 
OMG! Took 1.5 hours to just upgrade my phone at BB and I was ther first one there for an 8am appointment, but I have it now. Only turned it on to quickly see if the phone was connected (just asked them to activate the phone, but I'll set up later cuz I had to get to a morning work meeting.

Anyhow, I'm staring at the phone propped up on the kickstand, in the platinum BB case I bought and wondering if I should actually turn it on now. The light is green, just no time to play right now. Too much work...LOL...it's like torcher!

How do you like the platinum case? Did you get the holster?

Even though you didn't ask me, I'll put in my 2 cents. I wanted to get this from Seido, but i delayed ordering it because I wouldn't get it today and I thought I would pick up another type instead. I was surprised this morning when they told me they had it in stock at BB. I used the same type of holster with my Blackberry Curve and always liked it.

I prefer a holster over carrying it in my pocket and I really like the Seido design that lets me quickly remove it from the holster (spring clip). The rotating clip on back makes it easy to adjust to preference (vertical, horizontal or somewhere in between). I have not installed it on the phone yet because I want to try and install the Ghost Armor screen protector first. However I did clip it on my belt to check the size/fit and I think it's going to work great.

As a followup to my previous post. Half a day with my EVO and running nicely, fast, and looks great in both indoors and out.

No 4G in and around my home, but I may go out to my work area later to test if it comes up there. Battery life is so so, but thats because I have so many things open right now its not even funny. I know it won't survive by nightfall. Therefore I decided to go and get another battery but instead went for this...

That has to be the cheapest generator I've ever seen. You'll be lucky to get a few more hours outta the EVO with a full tank in that pile of junk.
 
Hey, picked up my EVO at 8 this AM. Radio Shack was great. Asked them about light leaking out of bottom of phone, right where the glass ends. We checked mine, appeared ok until I got home in natural lighting. Noticed it in low light situation. Called them & they said they woulod replace it but asked if I could wait till the next shipment comes in....fine with me. So anyway check your phone. Also on a good note. All you Pre users...you can use your car charger & indoor regular charger with the EVO. Also I love my EVO....I think this is the best phone I have ever had.:)


Another note, they are selling these phones fast!!

Yep i have a little bit as well under the Home button, and a little less under the menu button. Also, does the youtube app keep freezing for others? i haven't messed with it much, but the 3-4 times i tried using it it froze in some ways.
 
This comes from the EVO... Finally and only after 2 hours of waiting to get activated... how long did it take the rest of you guys?
