Official Froyo vs. Custom Roms

I have used Cognition 4.1.1, Serendipity 5.12 and Paragon RC6. I am sticking with Paragon RC6. It's super fast, stable, and the GPS is like my shadow.
I rooted and flashed in late December. I have no interest in the "official" Froyo. I enjoy knowing the inner workings of my "device". Kind of like tearing down and rebuilding a PC.

a question on USB tethering on Serendipity 5.12:

Finally I rooted and installed Serendipity 5.12, tried wifi hotspot last night, work beautifully. However, my laptop has some problem on wireless connection, so I am trying to get USB tethering working. After I enable tethering, I can see my network connection has an optioni for "SGH-I897_AT&T", however, it prompts user name: WAP@cingularprs.com and asks for password. What is the password?

Cognition to Supernova, haven't looked back. For me, custom roms are just so much better than stock.

Custom ROMs are in every way superior to stock. If you're looking for a ROM that doesn't constantly get/need updated; Try Andromeda 1.2. It's basically the FINAL release. The GPS is fixed, speed is very fast (~1500 Quadrant). It looks semi stock, doesn't FQ anything and just operated VERY nicely.
