Official Gingerbread Update Working Now

Kies worked for me on a 64-bit Win 7 system. I registered my device yesterday afternoon (Feb 1) and the "Unregistered Device" message was gone this morning. This seems consistent with Feb 2 at midnight release quoted above. It's possible, though, that there is some lag time if the download server does not have direct access to registration data and is updated infrequently (i.e. overnight).

The Infuse I successfully updated had an older ROM (ECKE3?). I have two additional phones with more recent versions to upgrade, so that might indicate if there's some kind of staged roll-out in place.

Yeah, well, I am not having any issues, but they really should make this update OTA because not everyone looks on the internet to get updates...

Anyone who has an update for a OTA process, please let us know...

There will be none. Ota can only do rom upgrades, not the whole "shoot in match". With Gingerbread, everything was changed almost like bootloaders and such. That is why there are no otas for this update.

Can anyone confirm they got the update using a 64-bit system? I don't really believe it won't work, especially since there may be other things you need to do to get the update now, but, it would save me finding a 32-bit system to try it on, just to find out that doesn't work either.
I did tonight. No problem.
