After installing 4 AF units on Moto Droids, I definitely recommend the bathroom trick. I spent more time removing dust than putting the damn protectors on!

The steaming does help with settling dust. Or so it seems for me as I've done that in the past. The only thing is whether or not it's a waste of resources to do. I've always just waited until after I took a hot shower (assuming you prefer hot vs. cold) to take the opportunity to do it.
 
Stats on my phone using the 1750 today:

9 hrs unplugged

Cell standby 27% Time without Signal 3%
Android 24%
Phone Idle 22%
Voice Calls 13% time 26m
Display 7% Time On 1h 34m
Dialer 4%
Camera 3%

Battery left: 50%

I'm happy with it. It includes texts, emails, browsing also. My usual so for me I'm sold. YMMV

I have to say that's not all that impressive. Those look like numbers i'd expect to see from my stock battery. I hope my 1750 performs better than that when it gets here. No offense intended.
 
I got my long awaited Seidio extended battery today. It's flimsy to say the least. The sides (top and bottom) seem to be separate pieces that just happen to be wrapped in the same paper. The HTC battery feels like one solid piece. The battery also seems to be a hair larger than my HTC battery and as a result the back case doesn't fit quite perfectly snugly. I can see a little red peaking through between the screen and the back plate. I'm charging it right now with the phone off. When it's full I'm going to see if it's just curved from the packaging and I'll try to flatten it out. Any special charge instructions? Do you think I got a lemon/ should I return it?

They want you to wait until the end of the month so your 30 days of owning the HTC Incredible has passed and you cant return the phone. The battery is a freakin joke.. I'm sending ours back and getting blackberries instead. What good is having a bunch of cool features and not being able to use them?

I ordered 2 new HTC NexusOne Sleeves and expecting them to arrive on Wednesday of this week. If anyone wants them I'll sell them for $11 (shipping included). Accepting payments in Paypal to Confirmed address only. First come, first serve. PM me if interested.
 
Same here - no problems. No comment on the quality or claim of 1750 mAh, but I definitely noticed an increase in batter life without a doubt.
 
I just got mine in the mail. Fit fine, back cover fits, and charging away. As long as it gives me longer battery life, then that is all i'm looking for.
 
Got mine for the Eris 10 weeks ago...now use it in the Inc. No issues with construction or battery life. It nets me ~25-30% more fun with my phone before a needed charge:-)
 
It better fit mine perfectly... or it's being returned.. If there is showing any color or anything like that its going bye bye!
 
I unplugged my phone when i woke up, turned on the new Slash album, and within 30 minutes i was down to 80%, man i hate this battery, cant wait for the extended.
 
Anyone know where i can get those mirror type protectors my friend from work has one for his iPhone it looks great but itll look incredible on my incredible ;)

I too heard from the Verizon associate that this battery will be available in the near future (i.e., a few weeks?). It comes with a different back.

As for cases, I currently have Verizon's red/black plastic Incredible protector, and it fits into a Case Logic belt holster perfectly. I believe that holster was designed for a Palm Treo. It fits snugly, but not tight. It can probably accommodate another few mm of thickness. I'll likely have to remove the surrounding plastic case with this new battery.

Return it...I got mine Friday and its awesome. I'm at 39% with 3 1/2 hours awake and 13 1/2 hours off the charger.
My battery feels solid and only differs in color & capacity from the OEM.
