I think the vast majority of us took it as a joke...especially those of us that have been around for a while. Some folks just need to relax a little and keep in mind that there is no trouble discerning when Anonimac is getting ready to post some potentially valuable info; he always precedes it with: "I am getting ready to post some info as soon as it is vetted" "or as soon as I get it watermarked." When he does post information, it isn't like it is absent of 20pt font and exclamation marks either.

The last thing I really want to see are the couple of posts that insinuate that he is somehow letting us down. If it weren't for him, we'd all be waiting for week old news or random speculation on the blog sites.

Exactly! If it wasnt for him we'd all be pulling our hair out tryin to get info. Yes we might not have an announcement from Verizon, but this forum has been pouring out info like crazy because of people like anon, nkt, MM etc. and have people like steven to help us bare with humor. We get the latest news before anyone else. Have some respect for the people on here that choose to be here and give us info. They dont HAVE to do this. They choose to be here and help us out. Chilllllll

Things to get in order of importance (guessing on prices):

1. Phone (200)
2. Screen protector (10)
3. Memory card (60)
4. Headphones with mic (100)
5. Extended battery + extended back covering (80)
5. Car mount (50)
6. Case (20)
7. New cover (20)
8. Dinner at one of these well-advertised Macaroni Grills (20) :D

I don't think that means anything. Even my old Touch has a snap-on back that's soft touch, and that's OEM.

IMO, if there is a factor that points against soft touch, it's the color gradient, but I'm not sure even that's a big deal these days. Based on how the camera protrudes, I'm guessing this isn't so much an additional cover as a replacement for the original.
 
the phone has 8gb internal storage a memory card won't be needed. the phone will be 200$ but most likely after a rebate of 50$-100$ so you might end up paying 300$ plus tax upfront but get it back in a rebate. i don't know what you mean though by new cover as you already have a case and screen protector on your list.

8 GB is not nearly enough. This thing will be replacing my phone, iPod, GPS, and possibly my netbook. 40 GB (8 internal, 32 card) will just barely do it.

It is unfortunate that they didn't release the accessories for the Incredible months ago cause we could all be stocked up and have everything we need for the phone when it FINALLY gets here. Oh wait... that wouldn't work cause it was just last week that it didn't exist right? We would be buying accessories for our pretend phone. :eek:

I just thought of something.... if they release @ 199. I have a rebate card from the droid my son got..$100. plus I have a $50 upgrade credit... so for me I will have an INCREDIBLE phone for only $49!! :eek::o:o
