in the midst of a confirmed release date frenzy, I've been holding on to my NE2 since October and just got a Verizon mailer that offers a free month of service(i.e. Credit toward my monthly access fee) if I would sign back up for a 2 year contract, offer good through May 7th. Perfect timing for an incredible launch!! Did any of you other holdouts get this in the mail?

APRIL 29TH FTW!!!

I haven't received that, but it'd be nice to get one. My NE2 has been ready since April of 2009, so I'm glad the wait is finally almost done!

And 700 pages in just a couple minutes, too.

Edit: :-/

My wife got one of them last year. I think she was up for her NE2 for like 6 months and may have been already out of contract.

Ok, kids, put on your tinfoil hats and take a little trip with me. I don't claim to have the truth, nor do I expect you to believe me, but I think I'll make a compelling case. I'm not trying to call anybody out, just having some fun on the off chance I'm not only crazy but also RIGHT! :D

From the beginning, I've felt that Verizon was messing with us. By that, I mean that they were doing a masterful job of marketing this phone, letting leaks out by dribs and drabs and just plain old stringing us along. Today, I feel we got a little peek behind the curtain to see this machine in action. Consider the following three posts:

I just discovered this page. I don't know if it has been reported yet as I have not yet caught up since yesterday.

HTC Incredible?

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet or not, but here goes... first time poster, longtime lurker.
HTC Incredible?
HTC Incredible is confirmed to be launching April 29th according to the Verizon staging site!

HTC Incredible?
All were first posts of their respective users. All three have been members for a relatively short time. All were posted with 90 minutes of one another. All read in a pretty similar manner.

Good job, Verizon marketing machine. You got us all. :)

View attachment 3028I noticed in the picture to the left of the Verizon logo 2 lighter circles. Since the one video (the original leaked bad quality one) and the user guide show the indicator LED to the right of the verizon logo, is it possible that this could be a camera on the front for video conferencing noone has known about yet? HTC has installed this feature this in the past with the Touch Pro I believe.

(sorry the image is small, not good with html, but i think if you click on the image it will put it full size)

No chance, it's the proximity and light sensors.

Kudos, fellow forumites, on 700 pages and over 2 million hits covering the phone. This has been a blast (for most). We're almost there!

Also, extra kudos to Anonimac for his excellent job working this thread. You kick @ss. Even more kudos for have a nearly 21:1 thanks to post ratio. That's pretty....dare I say it....INCREDIBLE in and of itself!!

Agreed Reginald... and if there are any marketing students here take notes. Verizon just created massive buzz over a phone they never admitted to even having. The Android OS is famous enough to not need massive hype before the release of phones like the previous ones have had, so they did the complete opposite... said nothing and let people build the hype themselves. I'm absolutely positive most if not all of the leaks over the last few weeks have been planned and welcomed by Verizon... they've been great fuel for the fire, and now the biggest, probably last "leak" comes two weeks before the release of the phone.
