Getting closer to moving my NE2 from 10/5/2010 to 4/19/2010

Just checking, this thread closes the 19th or 29th? Did you guys pre order from best buy today or are you going to wait for vzw online pre order (12 am the 19th/tonight right?) Were almost there! Congrats to everyone on waiting for 3+ months!
 
I've been thinking....we here are all VERY excited to get the new droid incredible because we have been speculating about the release and following the developments. However, to the rest of the general public that have not been researching about upcoming android phones quite possibly don't even know about the phone. Verizon's current list of phones does not show it. YOu must search it to find the pre-order "ad". Also, I have yet to see one ad from verizon to pop up on the TV, radio, or internet. So, my conclusion is, that if we (the ones who are interested in getting it asap,) go to the store the first day it is released, we should without a doubt be able to get it. THe release to the stores will quite possibly the first time many hear about it. Even when reviews come piling in, it will still be very "new news."
 
FWIW, former Alltel customer. I had 2 accounts that were merged into one prior to the Verizon acquisition. I used a NE2 last November for a Droid on the primary number which was not the correct one at that time. I have another number up for renewal. I called 611 today and asked about changing that number to the primary to be able and take advantage of the NE2. The rep said the system would not populate with that option but he had the authority to just offer a NE2 credit on a sale without changing the primary number. He said that option was actually labeled NE2 discount and was one of several they had available at their disposal. I then asked about a preorder on the Incredible and he said lets try. The system brought up a price of $999,999.99 for a purchase price so obviously he could not proceed. He gave me his email address and asked that I contact him tomorrow and he would place the order and apply the NE2 credit. The only thing he was not sure about was whether or not his system would apply the instant credit or force a mail in rebate, either of which is fine with me.
 
you would think we'd start seeing commercials about this thing now, as in this week or beginning of next at the latest. this will be their next flagship device and look what they did with their previous flagship DROID. they must have something comin
