I also ordered yesterday, except at 3:30pm, and billed it the same way. Still no tracking # yet but glad to hear you got yours so soon.
 
FedEx says that my magnetron is scheduled to arrive on the 29th, should I remove the cellophane from the popcorn now or wait?
 
My package has not moved from Ontario, CA since the 26th..........UNTIL JUST NOW!

Status update added the device moving from Ontario to San Diego hub to ON TRUCK FOR DELIVERY at the same time.

FEDEX is playing with my emotions.

I preordered mine from Best Buy in Rock Hill, SC. The manager of the mobile section who took my order was polite, knowledgable, and was happy to honor my NE2. We bought my wife's Eris there previously, and the employee who sold the Eris to us was also polite, knowledgeable, and even installed the Invisible Shield on her phone quickly, without bubbles, and for free.

I know it sounds like an advertisement, but I get very enthusiastic when a business treats me right.

So, essentially, FedEx Overnight is a scam. Since, 2-day is Overnight with an extra day of sitting around in Dickinoff, ME, Overnight can't cost FedEx company any more than 2-day.

I figured Overnight involved direct routes and dedicated trucks.
 
noooooooo. Sooo many w their phones!! haha i have my 16gb class 6 card and black to red fade case sitting here, all alone.. with no device to cuddle. stupid best buy waiting until the 29th. DOH!

I'm going through the same thing . . .late comers have either already received their phone, already have tracking numbers, already have the 2-3 days notice. This is how people get hurt!!! (J/K)

Not really. . . To get an overnight package to its destination, it is sorted overnight, and put on an airplane within hours. The 2-day packages get set aside during the overnight sort, and are sorted the next day (during the daytime). They are then put on aircraft after the overnight sort that night. This allows Fedex to be more efficient in the use of their facility.
 
For what its worth to everyone who is upset about their FedEx package not moving . . . I preordered mine around midnight on the 19th. I still don't have a tracking number and Big Red's website still says order being processed. WTF!?!? They still have not charged my credit card. I'd be content with some forward progression. I haven't pooped in days because of this suspense.

Sounds like this is also what is being done with the Ontario, Ca shipment being stalled in L.A.
 
I bet the OFFICIAL Moto Droid Thread was just like this right before launch day. Talking about shipping info's and preorders haha. I love the anxiety, anticipation, and adrenaline that comes with a new product launching.

Verizon told everybody when you preordered they would be delivered on the 29th. Those people who got the incredible early are just lucky and I guess your not!
 
not sure if it's been posted yet, but I just got my shipment this morning @ 10AM from UPS (UPS corp. discount so that's how they ship it too).. And it did come w/ the 2GB SD card, shipping weight was 1.5lb.

Other info: I ordered 4/19 @ 5AM, got the 2-3 day status update on Saturday, then tracking email yesterday. Didn't use shipping coupon, chose free 10:30AM delivery when purchased


Still letting it charge "just to be sure"... So I'm just itching to turn it on and play! Good luck to everyone still waiting, hopefully they'll all be in soon for y'all!
