By the time verizon is done sitting on their hands the incredible will be on all the other carriers so we should be able to get a good look at it.
You know, read all the reviews, check it out, then decide if and when verizon releases it if we still want it.

Regarding the theory that Verizon/Apple may be holding up the Incredible's release in order to wait for an iPhone announcement. In addition to the potential legal problems with such an agreement (which DOES happen and can be hard to prove, especially if it is between two high level execs), the problem I see is that HTC would be the first party crying foul. Of course, Verizon could some up with some BS reason for the delay, but I would suspect that HTC would see right through that.

It would suck if verizon releases the phone and everyone is like "This is just another addition to the already awesome releases from other carriers this year, verizon just go on the wagon" ....sad :(

AT&T is not able to launch a decent Android phone. The only android phone I see them coming out with soon is the HTC Legend since it's like a crippled Desire. Even then it will be locked down and filled with bloatware. Sadly Verizon seems more interested in clearing out the warehouses than releasing anything new atm.

or "this is a subpar addition to a rapidly growing list of far more incredible android phones released by other carriers this year"

But if verizon drags their feet long enough, and apple convinces a judge to issue an injuction with the ITC to stop HTC from importing, like apple is currently trying to do, it will all look perfectly legit.

Does this mean it's in the order system now. All the info pages disappeared and the statement to login to EROES comes up.

The name HTC Incredible will be a joke after this thing is finally released.

here's what all the CRS say: Droid, Droid, Droid, Droid, Droid, Droid, Droid -- like those seagulls in "Finding Nemo"

The problem lies in the potential antitrust law violations. Making an agreement with another company to restrict competition. It's not always black and white, however.

Someone comfort me....I just had a vision that I wouldn't be getting a new device soon, and I teared up a bit.

Stupid iPad commercials
